A new Lancashire repertory theatre company bringing classical Lancashire stories back to the stage

Inspired by the traditional repertory theatre model, Red Rose Rep brings together a collective of theatre-makers and creatives to make ambitious theatre rooted in Lancashire and the wider North.

The company will work in seasons, developing and performing productions at our home venue, Horse + Bamboo Theatre in Waterfoot, Rossendale, while creating opportunities for local artists and bringing audiences together around stories from the region.

Our work begins with the rich theatrical heritage of Lancashire - uncovering and reviving lesser-known plays and writers from the region and bringing these stories back to the stage for contemporary audiences.

But this is only the beginning. As Red Rose Rep evolves, we will also champion new writing from Lancashire and the wider North, creating a space where the region's history, identity and contemporary voices can sit alongside one another.
